Exhibition opening and relational walk for a collective re-thinking of the urban boundary

Friday, December 6, 2024 / 6:00 pm
At Carinarnica, Erjavčeva 53, 5000, (Nova Gorica, Slovenia)

As part of the “Peripheral Visions” project, a performative restitution of the research carried out by artist Manca Bajec during his residency with IoDeposito. A sound walk through some of the most representative places of the urban border, together with all the citizens who wish an active involvement in the re-writing of the territory and its symbolic places. Starting from the Carinarnica Cultural Center, where an exhibition will be housed until January 3, 2025, the artist will lead the participants in a walk along the border, to explore its symbolic places and memories, accompanied by the voices of its inhabitants and participating in a collective playful action of re-tracing the border, step by step.
The new milestone is both an artifact with a functional use – marking urban space, signaling the presence of an important place – and a work of art that incorporates memory, materials and local history.

Free event open to all, reservation required prenotazioni@iodeposito.org

The exhibition will be on view until January 3, 2025 with the following openings:
10 to 13 and 17 to 20 December 2024 and Friday 3 January 2025
Friday, January 3, 2025
