How can we tell the story today of shipyards, work at sea, and the communities that lived there?
Monfalcone | MuCA | Wednesday, May 6, 2026 | 4:30 PM
We invite you to the presentation of the project by artists Alice Mestriner and @Ahad Moslemi, followed by a guided tour of MuCA – Museum of Shipbuilding.
This is the opening event of an international workshop involving local and European partners, including EDUCULT (Austria), Visual Voices (Cyprus), Rightchallenge (Portugal), and ERIAC (Serbia).
An afternoon to explore the museum and the surrounding area, discuss new narratives of cultural heritage, and actively participate in creative “rewriting” exercises.
Program:
4:30 PM → Registration and exploration of MuCA + outdoor area
5:30 PM → Coffee break + presentations of best practices (Alice Mestriner, Ahad Moslemi, and CeVi)
6:00 PM → Workshop: creative exercises in rewriting heritage!
7:00 PM → Wrap-up and farewells
The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited!
Reservations required → prenotazioni@iodeposito.org
We look forward to exploring and reinterpreting the collections and exhibition narratives with you, fostering a critical and participatory perspective on heritage and its significance for the community, with an inclusive approach.
Initiative organized with the support of the Regional Council of Friuli Venezia Giulia
