We are pleased to invite all citizens to the performance Luce al Kita by artist Carmela Cosco, on March 12th, 2020 at 4:00 pm @ the park of Gradisca d’Isonzo Castle.
From the times of the barbarian invasions to those of the Berlin wall, the territory of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region has been object of conquest, and the border between the “east” and “west” of the world: in the context of the B#Side War Festival, 6th edition (Funded by the FVG Region), the artist Carmela Cosco has undertaken a residence in the Lower Friulian and Upper Isonzo area, actively involving citizens in workshops to rediscover the cartography of the border, and collecting their family memories on the subject.
The artist concentrated her investigation on the historical identity of the territory in its quality of roman limes, also investigating the importance of that “magical undergrowth” of protective natural divinities whose tradition has helped the population, over the centuries, to process the trauma invasion.
The residence takes place in collaboration with the municipalities of Gradisca d’Isonzo and Farra d’Isonzo, with the co-funding from the FVG Region and the European Union within the Start The Change GlobArt2030 program.
For reservations: firstname.lastname@example.org (the participation is free).
