May 13th – August 10th 2016 / opening 6:00 p.m., Piazza della Vittoria, Gorizia, Italy
A sensory, narrative, sound and visual artistic path that plugs into the dark and rumbling space of the Bombi gallery: Insight is a public art installation based on the perceptual stimuli of sound art. The artwork made by Joshua Cesa (with the sound curated by Alessio Sorato and Lorena Cantarut) consists of many sensory-auditory stations. Each of them, through the stimulation of the senses and the reproduction of auditory impressions of the First World War, tells the human experiential spectrum of the conflict. Inspired by many literary testimonies from the period 1914-16, the work helps investigating the individual and collective memory of the World Wars, involving the visitors in a real intimate and deep experience of our collective history through senses.
The installation was fully accessible 24 hours/24, 7 days a week, from May, 13th to August, 10th 2016, in the Bombi pedestrian gallery of Gorizia, IT.
