How can Video Art and Experimental Cinema go beyond a border?
This is the theme that was addressed during the Video Art and Experimental Cinema workshop on the two days of March 23rd and 24th at the Carinarnica former meeting point via San Gabriele, 51, as part of the b # side war / pheripheral festival visions.

The laboratory doubles, presenting a third and fourth installment of activities: we invite adults, young people, university students and young people between 11 and 14 to participate in these practical meetings to discover the potential of video: a means that allows us to look at in an innovative way to the elements of everyday life and to create surprising narratives.
As part of the workshop, furthermore, an in-depth discussion on the topic ‘VIDEOARTE AND ITS COMMUNICATIVE POWER IN CONTEMPORARY ARTISTIC PRACTICE’, dialogic and participatory seminar with artists, which aims to bring contemporary artistic practices to the understanding of all those citizens who are curious about its mechanisms.
As part of the meetings, the artists recount the personal experience that led them to generate the works, shedding particular light on the role and expressive dimension of video art as an excellent media in contemporary Italian culture, openly confronting the community and contributing to bring people closer to the processes of artistic signification and creation.

The activity is ascribed to the videoart exhibition VIDEOART CABINET, on the border between Gorizia and Nova Gorica, a non-canonical exhibition that is part of the B # Sdie War festival (with the support and patronage of SILLUMINA, SIAE, MIBAC, REGIONE FVG, CARIGO and DEMANIO FVG FOUNDATION)
