As the last special event connected to the WASTED exhibition, on Saturday 28 October at 6 p.m. Gaia Ginevra Giorgi presents her latest volume “Dizionario Fantastico. Sul paesaggio e i suoi attraversamenti“, at the Libreria Friuli (via dei Rizzani 1/3, Udine)

Free entrance, booking recommended at

The 42 entries of the “Dizionario Fantastico” offer the reader a fantastic taxonomy of Friuli Venezia Giulia, which gracefully redefines the soul of the landscape and its people.
Between the A of agane and the X of xenoglossia, the author knocks down canonical classification systems and rejects aerial visions, finding in a skilful balance between the distended syntax, immediacy and metaphorism of the epigram, the perfect style for a “decolonising” prose.
An experiment on language and the transfer of knowledge in a new key.

During the event, the rebel-artist Gaia Ginevra Giorgi will drive the audience in a participative reading ad workshop on the topic of the rebellion to the geography of power.

The event marks the official launch of the volume, published by B#S edizioni, Dizionario Fantastico. Sul paesaggio e i suoi attraversamenti.
