The main point of Charnely’s work is to observe the process of changing through culture, space and time, which involves common objects. At first, this artistic inquiry took the form of speech and performances. Currently, Charnley’s work develops in several steps, every single step gives an additional dimension and prospective to the work. On this way, she suggests some polyhedral food for thought.
Untitled War Series is inspired by an ancient tapestry, which represents a clash. Through a process of selection, de-contextualization and 3d reproduction, the objects become real and they suggest a deep consideration about war legacy.
